MORNING WORSHIP - OCTOBER 17, 2021

This week, Pastor Brian Pinson will be turning us the Book of Revelation.  In Chapter 2:1-7, we read of the divinely-inspired letter to the church at Ephesus.  The message in this letter is still relevant to us today.  The Ephesians were very diligent in their work for God, but Verse 4 says that they had lost their first love ... their love for God.  It is easy to get so caught up in our "works" for God that we can lose sight of protecting and pursuing our "love for and relationship with God".  In Matthew 22, Jesus tells us that we are to love the Lord thy God with ALL our heart, ALL our soul, and ALL our mind.  Our love and devotion for God must come first!  When we have that kind of love for Him,  the work that we do in His kingdom will again be motivated by our love for Jesus Christ, our Savior, and what He did for us.

We invite you to join us as we hear more about this vital passage of Scripture.  The service begins at 10:30 a.m., and everyone is welcome!!

      Verse of the Day

Luke 2:8-11  “And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
