WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - MARCH 2, 2025
This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will finish up the sermon series "A Sobering Warning from the Bible" with Part IV, based upon Hebrews 12:25-29. So far in the series, we have heard
I. The Danger of Refusing God (v. 25) and II. The Destruction to Come from God (vv. 26-27). This week the focus is on III. The Determination to Fear God (vv. 28-29). Verse 28 tells believers to be grateful "for receiving" a kingdom that cannot be shaken...this is in the present tense! Once we accept Jesus as our Savior, we become part of His kingdom! His kingdom cannot be shaken, so when judgment falls and the heavens and the earth are shaken and pass away, all that will remain is His kingdom and His people in it. Just for this alone, we are to worship God with reverence and awe for Who He is and for what He has done.
What is the sobering warning from the Bible? For the unbeliever, there is an approaching judgment that you cannot evade if you die in your sins. The only way to heaven is to receive the precious gift of salvation. For the believer, we continue to experience things that are not permanent, but we must look on life with divine objectivity. We have the wonderful words of God's promises that when the end comes, we will remain a part of God's unshakable kingdom forever.
Join us at 10:30 a.m. in person or online via Facebook to find out more. Today is the day of salvation - every day is a gift from God ... one more opportunity to accept redemption through God's salvation plan. We look forward to having you with us - everyone is welcome.
