Sunday School

Due to the pandemic, Sunday School has been postponed until further notice.

Children's Church

January 2022
Our children's church is held following our worship service each Sunday. We have a nursery set up with two areas; one area is a classroom setting for stories and hands on activities and the other area is a large room with lots or fun things to play with and set up for Bible story videos.

PreK-3rd grade kids meet to sing songs, have a puppet stage available, and a large classroom for Bible lessons and hands on activities. We are currently doing a study of the Parables.

Grades 4-6 meet in a large classroom for Bible stories and hands on activities. They are currently doing a "Be Bold" study.

A teen class of Grades 7-12 was recently added. They meet in the youth/family room all but the first Sunday of each month.

Women's Groups

Our a Women's Group recently began a new study titled "Truthfilled" The Practice of Preaching to Yourself Through Every Season. We meet at the church on Monday nights starting at 6:00 p.m. cst. It is never too late to join in on the study.

Senior Fellowship

"Young at Heart" Seniors Group

Due to the COVID 19 gathering restrictions, especially for our seniors and those who have compromised immune systems, we will not be meeting again until it is safe to do so. Please watch for updates! We miss you all and look forward to getting together again soon!

Our "Young at Heart" Seniors Group meets monthly on the second Thursday at 11 a.m. of each month between April and November. We gather to share singing, devotional time, testimonies, food, and Christian fellowship.

VBS

We are planning to do our full schedule of classes, rotations and decorating the church for VBS 2022. The LifeWay theme will be "Sparks Studios" Created in Christ. Designed for God's Purpose. For more information about this theme you can go to vbs.LifeWay.com

Caring Hands for Christ

Our Mission Statement
Our purpose is to Honor and Glorify our Lord by demonstrating the outpouring of Christ's Love through helping comfort others in times of need and brokenness. Please join us in our sewing ministry at 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of each month, and sometimes on one Friday a month, for devotion, prayer, and followship as we use our talents to help those in need. This outreach ministry is a vital part of our Women's Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. We sew and craft with a "passion for people"! Please feel free to come check us out! We have project options for ladies of varying levels of sewing experience ... even if you don't have any experience!!! Our focus is to serve God by serving others!

January 2022
We are currently making lap fidget quilts. It is fun to choose quilt squares with different patterns and textures to make the small quilts interesting. Later we will be adding different things to the tops of the quilts that can be "fidgeted" with like buttons, zippers, beads, lace, etc. If this sounds like a fun project for you, please join us the first Saturday of February 9-11:00 am cst.
