MORNING WORSHIP AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - NOVEMBER 3, 2024

Pastor Brian Pinson was out sick last Sunday, so we heard a wonderful message from our Associate Pastor Craig Ison.  His message, "The Danger of Self-Reliance", touched many hearts in the congregation.  As Christians, we get ourselves in a dangerous place when we think that we are masters of all we survey.  God must be first in our devotion and in our priorities!

This coming Sunday, Pastor Brian will be preaching the third message in the sermon series - "Are You Resting In God?", based on the Scripture verses found in Hebrews 4:1-11.  Ask yourself these questions:  "Am I resting in God, or am I finding myself overcome with the oppression of life's routines and monotony?  Am I resting in God, or have I forfeited His available rest, by first, not believing in Him, and secondly, by not trusting in Him?"  God demonstrated for us that after the completion of our work, we are to take rest in Him.  Even our Savior, Jesus Christ, would often go away from the crowds to rest and pray.  This messages in this sermon series will provide some Biblical guidance on how you can find the divine rest that can only be found in God.  Please join us in person or watch online via Facebook; the service begins at 10:30 a.m.   Everyone is welcome.  Come with open hearts and open minds to learn how to draw closer to the wonderful, unimaginable rest and peace that He has waiting for you!!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - OCTOBER 20, 2024

This Sunday, Pastor Brian will be preaching the second half of the message - "Are You Resting In God?", based on the Scripture verses found in Hebrews 4:1-11.  "Are you resting in God, or are you finding yourself overcome with the oppression of life's routines and monotony?  Are you resting in God, or have you forfeited His available rest, by first, not believing in Him, and secondly, by not trusting in Him?"  This message will provide some Biblical guidance on how you can find the divine rest that can only be found in God.  The chaos of this world is only going to get more widespread and more oppressive, especially for Christians, the closer we move toward Christ's return.  You can join us in person or listen online on Facebook; the service begins at 10:30 a.m.   Everyone is welcome.  Come with open hearts and open minds to learn how to draw closer to the wonderful, unimaginable rest and peace He has waiting for you!

SPECIAL NOTE:  Please continue to be in prayer for all of the people who have been victims of the devastation left by Hurricane Helene.  Some families are missing and some have lost everything.  Many people are stranded with no access to the outside world.  Helicopter rescue teams are working vigorously to bring food, basic necessities, and medical supplies to those who are stranded.  Injured people are being rescued as quickly as possible.  Some communities are being reached by individuals bringing supplies in by pack mules.  Individuals, companies, and organizations from all over the country are providing assistance to the victims.  Also, remember all those doing some of the most difficult work - fire departments, rescue workers, police force members, power company and construction workers, churches and other non-profit organizations, national guard and other branches of the armed forces, FEMA ... and the list goes on and on.  The task of rebuilding and recovering seems insurmountable at the moment. but NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!  Keep your prayers going heavenward!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - SEPTEMBER 22, 2024

This Sunday, Pastor Brian will continue preaching from Matthew 7:21-23, part of the Sermon on the Mount message from last week.  This week's sermon, "I NEVER KNEW YOU", Part 2, will stir your heart to remind each of us that the only way to heaven is to follow the plan of salvation that God provides.  God's plan says that we must admit that we are a sinner, confess our sins, believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, accept in our hearts that He came to take away the sins of the world through His death on the cross, and that He rose again.  Works "in His name" cannot save us...only the blood of Jesus can blot out our sins and give us redemption. As believers, we must pursue a relationship with God, with Jesus as our mediator before the Father.  We can do nothing to save ourselves or make our way into heaven .  Living as a true Christian requires transformation from the old sinful life to a new, regenerated life given to us through God's plan...by the sacrificial work Jesus completed on the cross to fulfill the Father's will.

Matthew 7:21 - "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

If you want to learn more, we invite you to join us in person or online via Facebook this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.   Everyone is welcome!

Morning Worship Service and Children's Church - September 8, 2024

Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, last Sunday was a beautiful service of sharing and praying about things in our lives that need God's intervention...sickness, lost family, forgiveness, and life struggles in general.  Our faithful God is always ready to hear our prayers because He desires a personal relationship with His creation...His children.  The subject of the day was the importance of being a part of God's family and what that actually means to the believer.  The service was humbling, reflective, and very inspiring all at the same time!

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will begin a brand new sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 6-7.  This sermon is one of the most significant and well-known passages in all of Scripture.  It lays out Jesus' moral vision for all of humanity.  Jesus emphasizes the importance of love and compassion, humility, selflessness, and forgiveness.  He told His followers not to worry about material possessions or outward appearances, but rather to focus on living a humble life of righteousness and integrity.   Jesus explains that true happiness and fulfillment for a Christian comes only from being centered on God and from loving others, not from wealth, worldly success, and other aspects of the modern world.  As we move forward in these messages, we must continue to examine our own lives using the words of Jesus as our guide.  Personal ideas and opinions ebb and flow in our world, but the Word of God, spoken by Jesus Himself in this sermon, will never change.

We welcome you to join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.,  either in person or online via Facebook.  Everyone is welcome!

COMMUNION SERVICE - SUNDAY, AUGUST 18, 2024

This Sunday we will have our Communion Service during the morning worship time.  There will be worship and praise singing, a message from Pastor Brian Pinson, and the serving of The Lord's Supper.  Self-reflection should be an ongoing process for all believers.  We should be constantly examining our hearts and minds in light of God's Word.  We participate in Communion because we are honoring Jesus and what He did for us on the cross.  He told the disciples that as often as we do take communion, we are to do it in remembrance of Him.  We invite you to join us, either online via Facebook or in person at the Church at 10:30 a.m.  Come with clear hearts and minds, and be ready to glorify God!!!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - AUGUST 11, 2024

This Sunday, August 11th, our Associate Pastor Craig Ison will be sharing a message about the importance of making God your first priority in your life.  In order to grow in godliness in Christ, we must follow His example.  That includes how we schedule our time.  Jesus set the example in how He spent His time here on earth.  Above all else, He placed the most important thing first ... His relationship with the Father.  There are numerous accounts where He would seek seclusion so that He could pray and commune with His Father in heaven.  Even in the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed to the Father that if there was any way, that the cup (His coming pain and suffering through the crucifixion) would be passed from Him...nevertheless, He prayed that the Father's will would be done.

Putting God's agenda ahead of our own takes deliberate intention and action on our part.  We invite you to join us to hear from Pastor Craig how he strives to do just that using the Word of God as the foundation.  The service begins at 10:30 a.m., in person or online via Facebook, and everyone is invited!

Morning Worship and Children's Church - August 4, 2024

This Sunday, representatives from Child Evangelism Fellowship will be joining our service to not only tell us about their organization but also to discuss the need to prepare and equip individuals of all ages to spread the Gospel Message to the lost children and teens of the world.  There are many children who have never heard about Jesus.  Some know His Name, but do not understand the importance of having a "relationship" with Him through salvation and living a transformed life.  Jesus loves people of all ages, but He has a special place in His heart for children.  As sin, uncertainty, and chaos grows in this world, the greater the need is to tell children about our love for them, but more importantly, about how Jesus loves them so much that He died on the cross for them.  We invite you to join us this Sunday to learn more about Child Evangelism Fellowship and their ideas on how we can better reach the children in our community.  The service begins at the church at 10:30 a.m. and online via Facebook at the same time.  Everyone is welcome!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JULY 21, 2024

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will continue the sermon series entitled "OUR HOPE RESTS IN GOD'S HANDS", which comes from 1 Peter 1:1-5.  Part 2 this Sunday will focus how the LIVING HOPE we have in Christ can provide everything we need to walk through trials and tribulations in this life.  Our transformed life in Christ gives us living hope because our relationship with God  is safe and secure in Him, and can never be broken.  This living hope is alive because our Savior is alive!!!  Verse 4 also tells us that along with this living hope is an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for us!!!  When we become discouraged, all we need to do is to go back to God's Word to find the many references of His promises to always be with us, equipping us to persevere suffering just as He equipped His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as He endured the beatings, mocking, and the crucifixion to fulfill the Father's will.

Have you been born again and become a part of God's family?  In these present days of lawlessness and chaos, do you possess the LIVING HOPE in your life?  Find out more by hearing this message this coming Sunday.  You can attend either in person or online via Facebook at 10:30 a.m.  Everyone is welcome!

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JULY 14, 2024

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will begin a new sermon series entitled "OUR HOPE RESTS IN GOD'S HANDS", which comes from 1 Peter 1:1-5.  Part 1 this Sunday will focus on the hope we can have in Christ, despite any circumstances.  The Apostle Peter wrote this first letter to Christians who would soon be facing some of the most horrific acts of persecution one can face.  He wanted to give them a firm hope that would strengthen their faith during the coming times of suffering.  We will take a look at Peter's life that made him just the right person to deliver the message...he walked with Jesus for over 3 years, during Christ's darkest hour he denied he even knew Christ, found himself in a state of great despair and unworthiness...but then, had his eyes opened to the LIVING HOPE, in the RESURRECTED CHRIST!  He learned that even in the most difficult times in a person's life, they will never be abandoned by God when they are a part of His chosen family.

WORSHIP SERVICE AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - JULY 7, 2024

This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will deliver the second part of his message entitled "BUSYNESS IS NOT BLESSEDNESS".  This message is based on Luke 10:38-42 about the story of Martha and Mary, the two sisters of Lazarus.  Both sisters loved Jesus dearly and believed He was the Messiah they had waited on so long.  However, in this record, Jesus visits their home and Martha quickly begins preparing food for the group, as was the Jewish tradition for women of the household.  When Jesus begins to teach, Mary chooses to sit at Jesus' feet to listen to His words.  Martha becomes very angry because Mary is not helping her and she, in display of her sinful human nature, confronts Jesus.  Jesus responds gently, telling her that she is anxious and troubled about many things, recognizing her distractions.  He tells her that Mary has chosen the good portion by hearing His words, something that no one can ever take from her.

Part 1 tells us that "social obligations never outweigh spiritual priorities" and that "serving comes after worship".  Martha's choice to fulfill "perceived social obligations" conflict with Mary's choice to pursue the necessary one thing ... hearing the Word of God and spending time with Jesus in prayer.  The key component for every Christian's life is to have their Godly priorities properly set.  Jesus Christ must be first and foremost ... above all else ... or all else will fail.

Life can present us with so many distractions; even things with good intentions can draw us away from Jesus, and sometimes causing us to make wrong choices.  Our top priority must be our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Spending time with God in prayer and reading and studying His Word gives us everything we need ... we become rightly motivated to do God's will, knowing what His will is, and getting His blessing for our acts of service.  This week's message will conclude with the point that "blessings hinge upon choices".  Jesus must be the first priority at all times.  Our ever-growing relationship with Him is a necessity for us to be obedient to His will in our service for Him.  Our worship of Him must come before our service for Him.

Want to find out more?  We invite you to join us, either in person or online via Facebook, at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.  Everyone is welcome!!
