This Sunday, our Associate Pastor, Craig Ison, will be sharing a message from Romans - Chapter 1 - Verses 16-32. Being a Christian has never been an easy life. In fact, Jesus warned us that in this world we will have trouble and will be persecuted for righteousness sake. As we look back in history, we can always learn something new that we can apply to our lives. Early Christians suffered, but through that suffering, their faith grew. The closer they walked with God, they learned that their only hope was in God. Today's culture may look a little different, but we face very similar challenges. Idol worship, false doctrines, government and social persecution, injustice. The process is still the same...we must first accept God's gift of salvation through the price Jesus paid for our redemption. Then every day after that, we must believe that the closer we walk with God, the more our faith grows, and the better equipped we are to stand against the enemy. To get closer to God, we must submit our will to His will...study His Word...pray for guidance and understanding...give of yourself to help others. If you want to hear more about the correlation between life in the early church and how we live today in our chaotic world, join us in person or online via Facebook at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome!
