MORNING WORSHIP AND CHILDREN'S CHURCH - MARCH 19, 2023
This Sunday, Pastor Brian Pinson will present Part II of his sermon "The Christian's Spiritual Armor - SHIELD OF FAITH". Part I of the "SHIELD OF FAITH" message provided an in depth history of the purpose, design, and use of the shield in Roman warfare. The shield was primarily used as a means of protection when the Roman army went into battle formation. This week, the focus is "The Protection of the Shield of Faith" that God provides for us when we encounter spiritual attacks from the ruler of darkness - Satan. Spiritual warfare is so intense that nothing can stand against it apart from God's divine power and strength working in us and through us. God's Word gives us the means of "putting on" the whole armor of God by putting Him first and foremost in our lives. He gives us His power and strength through praying for His will, reading His Word, believing in His promises, and being obedient to the leading by the Holy Spirit.
